SafeGuard emergency prepardness kits and some new resources

Well, we are just getting to adding some new products and resources. A lot of the new stuff to pop up in the store and the resource sections in the next few weeks is going to be outdoor and travel related with some personal, family, and home safety stuff thrown in for good measure.

We just added 4 emergency disaster preparedness kits from SafeGuard:

• 87-1782 Mini watertight emergency kit
• 87-1783 First alert one person preparedness kit
• 87-1784 Home base two person emergency preparedness kit
• 87-1785 Family first four person emergency preparedness kit

While I like to build my emergency kits for the house and the trading post myself, I keep some ready made kits like the SafeGuard kits in my truck and in Bobbie’s car mainly cause they are small and have just enough of what you need to keep you out of trouble.

But I also understand that some folks are so busy they might not have the time to build a proper kit themselves. And the SafeGuard kits, especially the four person family kit is perfect.

There is also a link there to READY.gov with lot’s more information for disaster prepardness from the folks at Homeland Security and Citizen’s Corps. And on a lighter note we also added a General Travelers Checklist to help you make sure you are properly packed and prepared for any upcoming traveling you might have going on.

We hope you and your family are safe and never need to use your emergency preparedness kits, but do encourage you to buy or put one together. But mostly I hope everybody gets to use the Travel Checklist. Everybody deserves some time off.
