As many of you know, I am in the process of moving to the city! This is something I have dreamed about and have wanted ever since I was a child. Truly a dream come true. (Truth be told I wanted to move to New York City about 23 years ago and my husband hated the idea) Being born and raised in San Diego moving to downtown San Diego seems like a good fit. Close to family and friends and of course work. And now that I am only a few days away I am wondering why!! Raised in the berbs why do I have the call for the urban life?? I really do not know, but I plan on finding out. I want to embrace the Urban lifestyle, walking more and riding the trolley. Getting to know the people of the city! Is that possible?? Can maybe life be simpler in the city? I know there is the good the bad and the ugly! Am I ready to face all that the urban lifestyle has to offer??? Well the fact is that my stuff is pretty well packed up, the moving van gets here on Thursday and my new urban life begins! I will keep you all posted as my adventure begins!!
Thanks Zoe, Yes I suppose I did live in the city before but trust me when I say this is really in the city. I am thinking it will take some adjusting. Buddy will now be taking the Trolly to and from work. Our goal is to use puplic transportation and our good old feet as much as possible. For now I will just be glad to be able to find a matching pair of shoes, and my hairbrush. Living out of boxes is no way to live! To answer your other question it is on the 10th floor. And yes there is an elevator.
While I can’t imagine why anybody would WANT to live in the city, I wish you the best with your new abode Stacy.
If it doesn’t work out, you and buddy can always move onto the compound :)
Thanks Trader Dan, if the city lights and the city noise get to be to much I promise I will let you know! Thanks much for the offer!!

I had no idea Stacy! That is fantastic. I love it when people reach their dreams. How many floors up is that?
Though, thinking on it a bit more, considering how far away I am from the city right now you already lived in the city. :)
Congratulations.
