The Open is getting some terrible weather and it looks like it will be this way all weekend. The way the scores are starting, this Major is up for grabs. No 3-Ball matchups for me today. I’ll wait until tomorrow to see how some of these guys are playing.

How is there a 4 dog contest today, with only 4 games playing? That would mean we would all have the same dogs, right? lol.

POD – Detroit -112 over Baltimore. Kenny needed the rest, and today will be one of his better games of the season. I like Detroit today with minimal juice.

Contest – Detroit over Baltimore, and over 10 runs. Also Colorado over Pittsburgh, and over 9.5 runs. Good luck today

Danny – you are not kidding on the golf scores. I just checked our plays. We pushed one and lost two of the 3 balls. Won the Vijay prop bet, and have Adam Scott in our last 3 ball match. Most of those people were 8 to 10 over par… Crazy. I tivo’d it, so I will go check out the play. Maybe it is Jean Van de Velde’s year! There was a prop bet on bodog if he would go in the water this year or not (him personally, not his ball).

Anyhow, contest is changed. With the limited card, it might not be that hard to hit this contest. Good luck and lets get some winners posted! I will have our few plays posted this afternoon.

I seen you guys posted something about Rampage getting chased by the Cops after he lost the Title Fight. Do you guys have actual Video of that? if not, do you know where I can find it? YouTube is blocked here at work.

Actually, no. The highlights were the best I could find at youtube. I saw part of it where he does doughnuts, but from what I hear, most of it is not on video (besides dash cams in the cop cars). Hard to believe that he did that. Some serious time is possible, as he almost hit several people, and hit cars…

Guys, I’m really liking Greame McDowell’s chances this week. For him to come out in the 1st Round and play the way he’s playing (Currently at +1 thru 16) with these weather conditions, says a lot about this guy. Last week he won at the Barclays and he’s been having some good success on the European Tour lately. He’s and Irishman who’s used to these Link Courses and these Weather Conditions. I picked him to finish in the Top 10, but if the price is right, I will be taking him on the Each Way Bet once the Odds are posted after the 1st Round is complete.

Danny – can you believe that Rocco shot under par today? That is crazy. Obviously I am liking my Adam Scott play right now. I just see a lot of stress off of the big players backs, and he is one who should really take advantage of it. Should be fun to watch. Ugly weather though. Just got back from Lunch to see McDowell finish with 2 Birdies. I still believe he’ll have great odds after today’s round. Scott will be the favorite now and Garcia should have good odds also. We’ll see.

I can’t beieve Rocco is in the Hunt again in a Major. I’m curious to see how these odds, for these guys, will play out. Also Greg Norman and Tom Lehman are surprises right now. Oldies but Goodies.

Even though he won’t win, it was nice to see Watson shoot a 74. No shame in that round under those conditions. He was off very early and put up that round. Garcia was the odds on favorite (still can’t figure that one out) on bodog. That is why I took Scott at 25-1. Would love to hit that play. You might be right though, oddsmakers may not give McDowell his due credit tonight..

You should check both sportsinteraction and bodog for those lines, as the golf ones seem to vary the most between the two. I thought I saw scott at +1800 there? But saw Garcia with much better odds at si than bodog. Weird, but well worth looking at both places.

Could have been way better in golf this morning. As it turned out, we pushed, winning two, losing two and pushing one. Good to have Adam Scott in contention. I will post more plays late tonight for tomorrow’s rounds, so keep an eye out for those. I am sure Danny will have some as well.

MLB Action today:

Padres -105. I think you are getting great value at -105 today with Peavy. Public is pounding the Cards at home. Padres -105 is our big play today.

I also really like playing both Cinci and Pittsburgh today at +130 and +135 for a small profit. I see one of these two winning today, and recommend playing them both the same to get a small win. If we get both, great.

WNBA:

Phoenix Mercury -2.5 over LA Sparks. Small WNBA play, but I see the Mercury winning by 7 or 8 in the end tonight.

I don’t hate the over in that game. It was on my list, just didn’t make the final cut, but again, public is pounding the under with these two pitchers, and STL. I just see Peavy holding them down and going maybe 8 innings.

Nicely done Jizzle. Hoping for a 9th inning comeback by the pads. Hard for me to believe both the cards and the under hit, but it happens. I am hoping that cinci holds on and pitt can pull it out, as that would just about cover the pads if they cant pull it out.

Thought they had a chance in the ninth. Man on 2nd, no outs with a run already in and they can’t get him home to hit the over and tie the game. It was not something I would have labeled as a POD on a day with only four games, but I sure did like it. Now the Mets have clobbered the cinci pen and the rocks have come back on the pirates… I need this to turn around fast…
