This post was actually a test (and the comment I made below). We’ve spent a month rethinking, redesigning, and bringing you this new and improved incarnation of CoTradeCo trading post and community.

It’s after midnight and we have finally fixed all major errors that made it online. There are still some minor issues with styling and formatting so we hope you will forgive us over the next few days while we iron out the wrinkles. You can tell I’m tired when I start using phrases that cliche.

Apart from the revised navigation and new look the major updates were to the store. We now have a very advanced guided search for finding products by department, brand, category, and even new and on sale items. It will still be a few weeks before we have the really amazing criteria added such as size, color, width, length, depth, style, type, and even more specific search criteria options by product line. As you can well imagine simply programming this is difficult but even once the functionality is added the tedious data entry follows.

And speaking of data, lot’s of new products and resources have already been added and more will follow over the next month. The most useful AND fun resource added is the new Benchmark FR clothing ATPV and HRC level calculator. This rather useful tool shows you what the resulting ATPV and Hazard/Risk Category level is achieved wearing various Benchmark FR products. While being a serious tool for a very serious subject, namely flame resistant protection and compliance if you are unfamiliar, Trader Dan suggested we make the calculator a bit humorous. So while you pick the clothes to layer to see the results, it shows you a preview of Trader Dan wearing those items (and they are not ALL Benchmark or FR). Just play with it and you’ll see what I mean.

Anyway, I’m exhausted and I am going to go indulge myself by watching an episode of Doctor Who. Nothing lifts your spirits like the Doctor.
