Check out Local Harvest to find local organic farmers and farmers markets to frequent. Also try the Eat Well Guide they have a search for local CSAs1. Too bad the one close to San Diego is full.

1 Community Supported Agriculture is where you subscribe to a farm and they give you a weekly box of food.

That needs to be added as a permanent link to Green Life.

Really useful site. Though they could work on their search maybe. I searched on my zip code and it showed Rancho Bernardo Farmer’s Market higher in the results than Vista’s Farmer’s Market (and that was on page 3).

However, I saw all sorts of stores and restaurants I had no idea existed. Like the Golden Gourmet Mushrooms. Bummer though, it doesn’t look like you can order direct. I’ll have to call.
