MP, I saw you say you can’t believe I don’t like college football yesterday. It reminds me of High School Football talent wise. I don’t even like the football itself. Why can’t you use a real football? Why is there 1 million teams? Why can a team go undefeated and have no shot at the championship? Nothing about the sport makes any sense to me. Anything sports wise that runs on computers is rediculous to me. IF, the NCAA ever goes to a playoff system, even 4 teams, I will probably get into it more. Until then it is bush league, and borderline embarrassing to the sport of football in general. I think Arena League is 1000 times better. With how boring baseball is though I will probably look to tail a play or 2 during the early year, as long as I don’t have to watch it. The thing I like most about college football is halftime. I like the bands.

I use to feel the same way. However, learning so much over the last 3 years about college ball with Mike has helped a great deal. Now – I like watching some games, and hate some teams. Find some teams to really hate – it really helps you enjoy the game a bit more. Plus – getting to recognize the talent before others do is pretty fun. I still don’t watch it like others do, but I will bet and watch a few games each week – especially west coast small school action. Fuck the smurfs!

Penn State and WI. Which is wrong on many levels since they are in the same conference. But oh well.

My cousin has gotten all into betting lately and I told him to just wait till football begins as it will be 10x more fun.

So last night I was golfing for a friend’s birthday – we were all drinking and I decided it would be a good idea to chuck my driver in front of him when he was teeing off. He proceeded to break my driver in half with his swing. LOL. Now I am out 2 bills. Expensive beer

Last night I get home from work and I recently got new neighbors to the left of me who happen to have 2 pitbulls. I have Boxers. I am completely fenced in high except on his side where it is just a 4 foot chain link. The dogs get into a fence fight and supposedly my dog bites his dog in the face and gives him puncture wounds. He then comes back out and says this is the 3rd time his dog has been attacked and he is taking it to the emergency vet.

No I should preface this by saying the first day he moved in I saw he had 2 big dogs and our dogs got into it at the fence. I said, hey man, we should probably get a high wood fence so this shit doesn’t continue. He says, for sure man, I know a guy so I’ll get an estimate. Keep in mind a few things. 1) The fence is not on my property 2) I still offered to pay for half of it and 3) that was in May!

So now all of a sudden it is my fault your dog gets bit. First of all my dogs face is too fat to get through a chain link, so if your dog did get bit, its his own damn fault for sticking his little gay head in to my yard. So being the neighbor I am, I say take the fuckin mutt to the vet. So of course he chooses the emergency vet, which is usually expensive. You know, since the dog was just in such bad shape. (Lie) I say I’ll pay for half of the bill but thats it. So he comes back 2 hours later and say, yeah, they wanted to keep my dog over night and sedate him to clean the wounds, etc but I knew that would be expensive so I just went the cheap route which was a saline solution to clean the tiny little cut and a pain med and antibiotic.

So the thing about it is, IF, they even really said they wanted to keep the dog overnight, which I’m sure they did not and here’s why. the bill for Meds, and the emergency visit was $110! If it was anything serious it would have been at least $300. At least.

So he comes back over to show me the bill and I get to talking to him and explain to him that my dogs nose was also bloody, but I decided to be a fuckin grown man about the situation and wipe it off and put some neosporin on it, not take him to an emergency vet like a pussy.

So that kind of changed his tune a little bit as I was telling him I am really not to blame, I was here first, I told you to get the damn fence, etc. So we decide that I will cover $50 more of the fence than what I was originally going to give him and we’d call it a day.

He seemed to lighten up after we talked for a while and I think he came to his senses that he probably over reacted a little bit. I have the nicest dog in the world. but he does not like other dogs at his fence. Plain and simple. Just like his dog doesn’t like the same thing. Yet my dog was the killer in all this and his was just a victim of a savage beast! LOL Keep in mind when he let his dog out to take him to the vet as I was giving him directions, he brings the dog out on a lead that he doesn’t have tight and the dog gets about 5 inches from biting me in the face. See he was so traumatized, yet still his normal I want to eat you self. This came after the first day he moved in and I walked up the fence and him saying, I wouldn’t get to close to the fence if I were you.

Such an innocent victim his poor killer fuckin asshole of a dog is.

Sorry for the rant. Still pissed today.

Mike, that guy I was telling you about with the SIM (HAHAHA) would agree with you. You know since it is hot outside the ball flies better and he is able to plug this info into his SIM. LOL!!!!!

But I did find out he owns a bar in Wrigleyville so its on if I make it down to that shitbox of a stadium for a game.

Anyone take a look at the NFL week one line? How the hell the Packers are only a pk vs the Eagles beats me. Being an Eagles fan…I see no way they win this game. Kolb hasnt showed anyone anthing…their Defense is not improved…Doesnt make sense to me.
I do like Kolb as a backup fantasy QB, lots of weapons in an 80% pass offense…too bad living in Philly, someone will probably draft him in the first round…stupid homers.

I already have 4 seperate bets on the Packers for week 1. By the time it is all said and done I will probably have a grand on that game. I still think Philly is going to be pretty good, but the Packers should challenge for the NFC North title with or without Favre on the Vikes. Also think they have a shot at the whole thing. I really would like to see them play the Saints. I’d love to see a 100-98 type game, and those are offenses to do it.

I really really like the Reds tonight. Scott Rolen or not the nats stink. If Stridesand-berg isnt pitching…there is no reason to think they will win. Luis Atilano stinks…making his first start since being sent down..after tonight he will be back in triple A. Mike Leake is going to be dealing against the Nats offense, which also stinks. Reds win big. Im gonna go with the Reds -1.5 +110.

I actually like a couple more runlines (Braves, Rays, Indians), but dont want to go overboard so Im sticking with the Reds.
