I usually never pisck a starter as the MVP as it is usually someone who makes a deciding play in the game. Goin with the home town guy, the ex hometown guy, and the ex ex hometown homer.

My early(very early ) Leans for NFL season:

Browns > 5 1/2 (my team , take with a grain of salt)

Pack > 9 1/2 they knocked at the door last year, young linebacking crew grows up and plays more dominant ball, offense will lead league in points, all depends on defensive line being healthy(and staying out of jail)
