Speaking of the Steelers and things I can’t believe like Big Ben fucking up again…....Hines Ward is 36! I can’t believe the production on this guy. I’d take him on my team right now even at age 36.

And Chad Brown said the same thing when we had him on TSB last year Crotch. He would have built an entire team around Ward. He should go to the hall of fame. He probably won’t, and trust me – I know I am a homer, but he is a top 3 WR in the last decade. There is more to it than just catching the damn ball…. He runs routes like Rice, blocks like a DB, and plays to win every time he is on the field, every single down. Plus – half of his career was with Tommy Turnover Maddux and Slash. LOL

I agree, Hines Ward is in chuck Bednarik and Pete rose class, they come to play and play every minute tough as hell. For you guys that don’t know chuck Bednarik, he played both ways for Eagles and at the end of every game he looked like he was in a fight with about 8 grizzly bears.

The main reason I think ben goes down for this one is the law in georgia. The law that states if you are accused of a similar crime, no matter if convicted, any evidence can be used in this case. So if it goes to court your going to hear some crazy ass stories flyin around.

By the way – RIP Rory Marcus. I had no idea he died in the off season. He was the announcer for the Angels, and young (54). The Angels had already let go Rex Hudler, so now we are stuck with just horrible people to call the games (see Mark Gubicza and Jose Mota. awful)

I’m not sure what to think about Ben!! Should Goddell suspend him until it clears? I mean once and ok go find another chick, twice and you playing with fire!! ok well let me chime in here…scott i wouldnt read past that sentence if i were you…hines ward is a great receiver a great player, but not a hall of famer…unfortunately for him big ben wasnt around his whole career or maybe id agree..but if u look at all the great wrs they had a qb throwing to them for a majority of their careers…chris carter…jerry rice…nd so forth…but eventually all that matters in the end is stats and some yrs really hurt his chances which may of not been his fault (injuries?) and as for bein top 3 in the decade ill kindly disagree with that maybe top 5?...but i would gladly take moss owens fitz wayne or even ocho over him…just my opinion though

I hear ya – and that is the typical logic of a broncos fan… (kidding). Fitz has had a few great years – but not a career yet. For about 3 years – TO was great, and a solid blocker as well. He has been terrible since he left SF. Even on Philly – he was more of a gimmick. Randy is naturally gifted and is flat out better.

One thing Hines does have going for him is a Superbowl MVP. That goes a LONG ways in hall of fame voting when you might not have the stats. 2 rings and an MVP will no doubt help. Personally – I would still take Hines in his prime over any current WR, with the exception of maybe Andre Johnson, but that is TBD. Let’s not forget – Hines has had 4 seasons of 90+ receptions, and one year with Tommy at 112 grabs. The guy is a BEAST, and put up 95 grabs LAST season – top 8 in the NFL at his age..

We’ll see the real numbers come from Larry this year with no Warner…...How bout Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce? Both HOF’ers to me. I think Hines is in that category. Far from a sure thing. But SB MVP and being a Steeler really help. Depends how he is thought of when it is said and done. There are a lot of people who like him for his toughness but a lot who think he is a cheap shot artist. That could effect it as well.
