I’ve been going through some old photos and came across these porpoise pics I took in 2002 at the beach in Carslbad, CA. At least I think they are porpoise, but if they are dolphin I didn’t mislabel them on porpoise (ha ha sorry).

Never in my life would I have thought I would capture a porpoise jumping out of the ocean in the wild. It was an amazing moment. Just seeing dolphins, porpoise, and seals on the coastline where you live and play is amazing enough but I still can’t get over that jumping shot. I just wish I had a better camera at the time. Though the color shifts really played up the sunset as well.

Anyway, I thought to share because I saw a Dolphin pick that Dave or Nancy had posted elsewhere on the site.

The shot is great! And with all that has been going on lately on Wall Street, it seems amazingly peaceful! Thanks for sharing! And I agree “all skill”!!

Don’t see that out here in the desert!

Thanks Stacy and Trader Dan.

Stacy I’m glad you experienced some peacefulness. That makes me happy. We all deserve some of that. And I appreciate you backing me up on the “skill” but Milo is right it was just dumb luck! But I have a lot of that sometimes, so you might call my luck skill?
