Auburn is a traditional SEC Powerhouse, and this year is no different. I’m pretty high on this team. I believe this team can sneak into title contention this year. They ALWAYS have an amazing defense. What’s changed is their offensive scheme. They are moving to the SPREAD offense as well. I love this idea, as obviously they have the athletes to make it successful. I believe any improvement in offense will make this team tough to beat.

Their offense is in the middle of a makeover. As mentioned, the Spread offense has made it’s way to Auburn. Their offensive line will play a vital role in this transformation. The line is a veteran group, that will pick up the spread quickly. It will take some time for the skill positions to pick up their assignments, but they will get there. The best athletes in college football play in the SEC. Auburn can recruit with the best of them. They typically groom Running Backs at an alarming rate. This year, they learn how to pass as well!

Defense carries the day for this team. They have a chance to be the best overall defense in the country. They return 6 starters on a defense that finished 6th in the country in nearly every defensive category in the country. This team is absolutely stocked at every defensive position. Their coaching staff also does a hell of a job scheming their players. Their defensive line is amazing. They have 4 guys on their line that will be playing on Sundays. They will bring the heat constantly this year.

Overall, this team will go either 10-2 or 11-1. If they do go 11-1, they will be considered a national title contender. They face both LSU and Georgia at home, which will help. Everyone knows how difficult the SEC Conference is. I believe that Auburn has as good a chance as any of winning the hardware. This team will compete in a ton of UNDERS this year. Be ready! This is a rock solid team, that i have as #8 in the country.
