With a little help from Stacy (okay a lot!), I finally managed to decide which case to get! I’ve got to be honest, I wanted to go with the 1080 hardback because it looked so dang cool, especially the charcoal color, but unfortunately it wouldn’t come close to fitting my widescreen tablet PC. The choice came down to the 1490 or the 1495, and though the 1495 might be a little bigger than I need for daily use, I like the shape and styling a little more than than the traditional briefcase like the 1490. Even after deciding which case I was stymied by which configuration to get. I knew that I wanted a lid organizer, but wasn’t sure if I wanted the foam (1495cc2) or the leather laptop sleeve.
I went with the cc2 and the foam, mainly because I wanted to have more control over how the laptop sat in the case, and also to be able to customize a space for my power supply and maybe some other useful things when I’m working at the coffee shop.
Between the holidays and work and I haven’t had time to customize my pick n pluck foam and make the case ready, but I will find time between Christmas and the new year.
I have taken some pictures, but don’t have them off the card yet. I am going to post all of them and customizing the foam, and of course the finished loaded case.
Thanks everybody in your help picking the case out and getting it ordered. I finally own my own Pelican case!
